As a fellow freestyle member of the IDTA I provide private tuition dance teacher training courses for those seeking an internationally recognised dance teachers qualification in freestyle dance. The courses are intensive, so to qualify you must already be an experienced dancer.The course also includes consultancy services to assist with your career or business dance plans so you understand the value of the qualification and what it can do for you.

What are the benefits ?
The IDTA (International Dance Teachers Association) qualification is recognised worldwide. You can use the qualification to teach in schools, gyms or even open your own dance school. This fits with new government criteria that all dance teachers must be qualified to teach by year 2010. Once qualified you will be able to enter your students into amateur examinations generating a futher income stream. You will also be able to enter your students into dance competitions such as organised by the ADFP (Association of Dance & Freestyle Professionals), the SDI (Streetdance International) and the UDO (United Dance Organisation). The freestyle qualification will enable you to teach freestyle (disco), street dance, slow, bollywood, african, line dancing, salsa, house and any other club dance that is in vogue. Once qualified you will be required to submit an annual membership fee (currently £93 pa) directly to the IDTA. Please click here to see what the IDTA can do for you. Once qualified you will officially be of professional status with the letters AFIDTA after your name. You will then need to know the power of your dance qualification and how to use it to get work or maybe you need assistance with a plan of how to set up your own dance school. With over 20 years of dance industry expertise I offer advice and guidance to ensure you are guaranteed to earn an additional income teaching dance.
Requirements
The course is mainly syllabus orientated, therefore a majority of the course is theory based. You must already be a dancer to attend. The course is geared towards what is required to pass the IDTA associate freestyle examination and is not designed to teach you how to dance. The examination is for 1hr 15min of which you will be required to demonstrate 4 routines and answer all questions verbally. You must be at least 18 years old to take the examination.
